Honey Dew

Honeydew melons are a variety of Muskmelon and are considered the sweetest of all melons. Good-quality Honeydew melons will turn a creamy yellow colour and the skin will have a slightly waxy feel when ripe.
Storage & Handling
Choose well shaped honeydew melons that are nearly spherical. Store honeydew melons in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Usage Tips
Make popsicles by pureeing honeydew with a little sugar and a splash of lime juice. Pour into molds and freeze. Honeydew, cantaloupe and watermelon go together beautifully for a delicious fruit salad.
Rockmelon

Rockmelons are a type of cantaloupe that are related to honeydews, watermelons, pumpkins and squash. The sweet orange coloured meat of the rockmelon is a worldwide favourite amongst consumers. Storage & Handling
Rockmelons are vine ripened and do not ripen further after harvest. These juicy treats should be stored at room temperature. When sliced, rockmelon should be covered and refrigerated.

Watermelon

Storage & Handling
You can store uncut watermelon at room temperature for several days. Yet, once cut, watermelon should be refrigerated in order to best preserve their freshness, taste and juiciness.
Usage Tips
Purée watermelon, cantaloupe and kiwi together and add to plain yogurt. Watermelon mixed with thinly sliced red onion, salt and black pepper makes a great summer salad.
